The role

The Financial Accountant is responsible for the accounting and reconciliation tasks relating to General Ledger accounts, fixed assets, accounts receivable and any other accounts department functions as and when required.

• Journal processing and GL reconciliations for all Redpath entities
  
• Create, account, reconcile, follow up and report customer invoices and receivables
  
• Fixed assets accounting and reconciliations;
  
• Assist with the preparation of monthly reports
  
• Assist with the preparation of audit files and reconciliations
  
• Maintaining and coordinating filing for audit records as required
  
• Assisting with other Accounts Department functions eg; cash, reporting and compliance as required;
  
• Ensure compliance with Redpath’s Management Systems and the relevant Statutory Regulations;
  

• CA/CPA or equivalent.
  
• 2-3 years’ experience in similar role with knowledge of consolidated company accounting & reporting in large organisations.
  
• Experience with major ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, Essbase and Pronto.
  
• Exposure to group management reporting would be preferable.
  
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills to maintain and create new models.
  
• High attention to detail to maintain high standard of accuracy and integrity in all reports.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  
• Organized, pro-active and able to take initiative.
